Baton Rouge, from it's discovery by French explorers, to being under different dominion's, to being captured and occupied by Union troops, including decisive military actions, and much more. This site is fact-filled and very interesting.

Hello, In year 2018 I found a drawing showing the Fort of Baton Rouge (AKA Fort New Richmond). Louisiana Archaeologist, LSU and UL have reviewed my find and the archaeologist indicated a Historical Marker can be placed at the location. Drawing shows the moat and other structures. East Baton Rouge Parish library has listed a Digital Archive of my site. Please see bottom left side of site for link: Note, there are other discoveries from Bayou Goula to the Baton Rouge Fort. My site is free for use for education.
